University of Embu Recruitment 2024/2025

The University of Embu wishes to announce that the recruitment exercise for 2024/2025 has commenced. Qualified persons are invited to apply for employment to fill in the vacant positions available at this university.

General Requirements for Eligibility

  1. Candidates must be Kenyan citizens based on birth or descent.
  2. Certified by government medical personnel to be physically and mentally suitable for appointment in services.
  3. Candidates with physical or mental disability.
  4. Candidates must have good character and are not guilty of criminal offenses.
  5. The registration and selection process is free of charge. (You are not required to pay for the recruitment process)

Positions of Senior Lecturers and Lecturers are available in the following areas:-

  • History

Experience: Senior Lecturer – Grade 13

Recruitment Requirements

  1. Applicants are required to hold Ph.D. degrees from recognized Universities in the relevant areas of specialty.
  2. Applicants are required to have at least five years of University teaching experience, three of them as full time
    Lecturers.
  3. Applicants must have at least 32 publication points, 24 of which are from articles in refereed scholarly journals
    since being appointed Lecturer.
  4. Applicants must have successfully supervised to completion of at least four Masters’s Students since being appointed Lecturer.
  5. Applicants must present evidence of successfully securing at least one research grant since being appointed
    Lecturer.
  6. Applicants must show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars, or workshops.
  7. Applicants must show evidence of continued research.
  8. Applicants must show evidence of active participation/leadership in departmental and university activities.

Lecturer Grade 12

  • Applicants must hold Ph.D. degrees from recognized Universities in the relevant areas of specialty.
  • Candidates must also have a Master’s degree in addition to a first degree from a recognized University in the relevant field.
  • Candidates must show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars, or workshops;
  • Candidates must show evidence of continued research.
  • A university teaching experience and a published article in refereed journals will be an added advantage.

Position: University of Embu Legal Officer Job Vacancies in Kenya

  1. Applicants for this position are required to hold a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized
    university.
  2. Candidates must have at least two years of post-bar admission working experience in a busy legal environment.
  3. Applicants must possess a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
  4. Applicants must be Advocates of the High Court of Kenya with a current practicing certificate
