The Teachers Service Commission is set to recruit interested and qualified candidates to fill vacant positions in primary and secondary schools across the country. The Commission is set to recruit 30,000 teachers to occupy different positions in secondary and primary schools.

General Requirements for Teachers Service Commission Recruitment
Candidates who want to be shortlisted for TSC jobs in the Service Commission must fulfil the following requirements:
Primary school teachers
- Must be a Kenyan citizen
- Must be a holder of a P1 certificate
- Must be registered with the TS
Secondary school teachers
- Must be a Kenyan citizen
- Must be a holder of at least a Diploma in Education
- Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission
Practicing teachers
- Must be a Kenyan citizen
- Must be a holder of a P1 certificate
- Be a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with two teaching subjects
- Must have attained at least C+ (plus) mean grade in KCSE or its equivalent in the two teaching subjects
- Must be serving under the Teachers Service Commission
Important Points to Note:
- Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce original professional and academic certificates.
- The Teachers Service Commission recruitment guidelines for the recruitment of teachers shall apply.
- In the case of primary schools, successful candidates will be posted to serve in any part of the country where vacancies exist and not necessarily in the county where they were recruited.
- Manual applications will not be accepted.
- Successful candidates must not fill more than one application for employment forms.
Required documents
- Two coloured passport-size photographs.
- A copy of your National Health Insurance Fund card
- A copy of your National Identity Card or passport
- A copy of the National Council for Persons with Disability card (where applicable)
- A valid certificate of good conduct
- A copy of the Kenya Revenue Authority Personal Identification Number (KRA PIN)
- A copy of your teacher registration certificate from the Teachers Service Commission
How to Apply for the Kenya Teachers Service Commission Recruitment 2024/2025
Interested and qualified candidates for Primary and Secondary school vacancies are to submit their applications online through the TSC job portal at www.tsc.go.ke.
- Visit the TSC online portal on an internet-enabled device.
- Sign in to the portal, and click Active Adverts for Teachers.
- You will be redirected to a page with a list of open vacancies.
- Scroll to your desired post and click Actions.
- Click View/ Apply.
- You will view all the details related to the post.
- Enter your surname, ID, and TSC number to proceed.
- Fill in the details that follow to complete the application.
- Once done, click Submit to complete the process.
Successful candidates will be informed by the county directors of the counties where they were merited.
