About KALRO Recruitment 2024
To bolster mission-critical systems and the advancement of digital technologies in the agriculture industry, KALRO has established a state-of-the-art ICT infrastructure, encompassing a cloud-based High-Performance Environment (HPE), a Big Data platform, and a cutting-edge, future-ready data center.
KALRO is leveraging its ICT resources in collaboration with other agricultural stakeholders to devise specialized agricultural use cases addressing stakeholders’ needs and farmers’ challenges through the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Data-as-a-Service models.
Multiple stakeholders have integrated with the environment to host, grant access to, and utilize agricultural datasets and use cases.
The World Bank, under the Kenya Climate Smart Agriculture Project (KCSAP), has allocated funds to KALRO to foster the development of digital technologies and associated systems.

In pursuit of this, KALRO is seeking to engage experts possessing the requisite skills, training, and credentials to support the systems and infrastructure on a contractual basis, with potential for extension, in the following role:

Requirements for KALRO Recruitment 2024
- Having served a minimum of three (3) years in the grade of Information Communication Technology Officer I;
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields from an accredited university: computer science, information science, technology, or business information technology;
- Attainment of a Master’s degree in one of the following fields: business information technology, computer science, information science, information systems, or any other degree of equivalent standing from a recognized institution;
- Possession of any other credential equivalent to the following from a recognized institution: Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE),
- Completion of a Certificate in Management Course from a recognized institution, with a duration of at least three (3) weeks;
- Maintaining high standards of professionalism and ethics;
- Demonstrating merit and aptitude through job output and outcomes;
- Adherence to the provisions of the Kenyan Constitutional Chapter 6 (Chapter 6).
