Requirements for ECDE Teaching Jobs in Kenya
To be eligible for ECDE teaching positions in Kenya, you must meet the criteria listed below. The recruitment process is based on transparency, and only candidates who satisfy the entry requirements will be considered for shortlisting.
- Prospective applicants should be citizens of Kenya with valid means of identification like a National ID card, Valid Kenyan Passport, etc.
- Applicants must meet the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya and will be required to have clearance certificates from EACC, KRA, CRB, and a Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police Service
- Applicants with criminal records, pending trial or equivalent, are not allowed to apply
- Academic and Professional Certificates and Transcripts
- Teachers Service Commission (TSC) registration.
- You should be physically, mentally, and physically fit
- 2 years of teaching experience is an added advantage
- Ability to create Individualized Education Programs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Certificate of Good Conduct from the Criminal Investigations Department
- Any other relevant documents e.g. IT Certificates etc.
ECDE Teachers Salary
Assistant ECDE Teacher III earns a minimum of Ksh7,836 and a maximum of Ksh 8,717. On the other hand, diploma holders (Senior ECDE Teacher I) with 15 years of experience earn a minimum of Ksh 15, 224 and Ksh 19,064 at the maximum.
