- Candidates for the lecturer role must have a first degree from a recognized university with at least second-class honors and a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate or an exemption certificate.
- Candidates for the instructor cadre must possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized polytechnic with at least lower credit and provide evidence of National Service or an exemption certificate.
- Candidates for the administrative cadre must hold a first degree from a recognized university with at least second-class honors (lower division) and a National Service certificate or an exemption certificate.
- Candidates for the executive cadre must have a Certificate or Diploma in Accounting & Audit or Public Administration. Those with a Higher National Diploma (HND) must provide evidence of National Service or an exemption certificate.
- Candidates for the accountant role must have a BSc Degree in Accountancy or its equivalent with at least second-class lower division from a recognized university.
- Candidates for the librarian role must possess a Bachelor of Library Science (B.L.Sc.) degree from a recognized university with at least second-class lower division and evidence of National Service or an exemption certificate.
- Candidates for the library officer role must have at least a Diploma in Library Studies from a recognized institution.
