Vacant Positions
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the following positions at the Federal University of Technology, Akure.
1. Deputy Registrar – CONTISS 14 (N1, 831,708.00 – N2, 392,572.00)
Qualifications
- A strong undergraduate degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of 12 years of appropriate post-qualification experience, with the majority of those years needed to be spent in academic administration.
- The candidate has to be computer proficient and have worked as the principal assistant registrar for at least three years.
- Membership in a professional association that is well recognized, such as ANUPA, NIM, IPMN, AUA, etc.
- Having a credential in higher education will be beneficial.
2. Deputy Bursar – CONTISS 14 (N1, 831,708.00 – N2, 392,572.00)
Qualifications
- A good first degree in Accounting plus professionally recognized Accounting qualifications plus ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA, ANAN plus 12 years post-qualification experience. A
- Applicants must be computer literate (have substantial knowledge of the relevant accounting packages).
- The applicant must have served as Chief Accountant for at least 3 years.
- Possession of a higher degree certificate will be an added advantage.
3. Deputy Director, Academic Planning- CONTISS 14 (N1,831,708.00 – N2,392,572.00)
Qualifications
- An excellent honors degree with a preference for statistics, economics, or mathematics.
- An IPS registration document and proof of at least 12 years of relevant professional experience, including a significant amount of time spent in an academic setting. One must be computer literate.
- As Chief Planning Officer, the candidate must have worked there for a minimum of three years.
4. Deputy Director, Physical Planning- CONTISS 14 (N1,831,708.00 – N2,392,572.00)
Qualifications
- A solid first degree in any of the following fields: architecture, building, quantity surveying, urban and regional planning, estate management, mechanical or electrical engineering, civil/structural engineering, or evidence of registration with ARCON & NIA or NIOB and CORBON or NIQSV or COREN and NSE or NITP & TOPREC/NIESV.
- The candidate must possess computer literacy and have worked for at least three years as a chief engineer, architect, builder, quantity surveyor, town planning officer, or estate officer.
- Having a credential in advanced study will be beneficial.
Condition of Service
Conditions of service are similar to those in other similar institutions of higher learning in the country.
